Lately, it has occurred to me that all of the interviews in Necessary Therapy have been primarily with dead, white, Anglo-Saxon men (except for Bob Dylan, and his wisdom is such that it’s as if he’s speaking from the grave).
In an effort to be more intentionally inclusive and diverse, I have decided to interview a select group of supermodels on some of the vital issues of the day.
**********
Pistol Pete: I’ll start with Carol Alt. Carol, some young women might look at how thin you are and be motivated to develop an eating disorder. What would you say to them?
Carol Alt: If I’m making a movie and get hungry, I call time-out and eat some crackers.

**********
Pistol Pete: Naomi Campbell, how do you take care of yourself?
Naomi Campbell: I never diet. I smoke. I drink now and then. I never work out.

**********
Pistol Pete: Tyra Banks, how about you? Do you have any issues with body image?
Tyra Banks: Black women don’t have the same body image problems as white women. They are proud of their bodies. Black men love big butts.

**********
Pistol Pete: Kylie Bax, apart from being a supermodel and actress, do you have any special talents?
Kylie Bax: I can pull a bone out of my shoulder and dislocate it.

**********
Pistol Pete: Christie Brinkley, you’ve been in the modeling business quite some time. Are there things you are still learning?
Christie Brinkley: I just found out that I’m one inch taller than I thought.

**********
Pistol Pete: Kelly Brook, is there anything you regret about modeling?
Kelly Brook: People think you can’t be clever if you have breasts.

**********
Pistol Pete: Cindy Crawford, you have been one of the most respected models for some time. I wonder, would you share just one of your core beliefs?
Cindy Crawford: The face you have at age 25 is the face God gave you, but the face you have after 50 is the face you earned.

**********
Pistol Pete: Eva Herzigova, Henry Ford once said that history was bunk. Do you agree?
Eva Herzigova: History is the key to everything: politics, religion, even fashion.

**********
Pistol Pete: And finally, Elle Macpherson. What gives your life meaning?
Elle Macpherson: Having children is my greatest achievement. It was my saviour. It switched my focus from the outside to the inside. My children are gifts, they remind me of what’s important.

Hahaha…you should’ve asked Carol Alt about how she liked being on THE APPRENTICE. :)
Good job.
The Pistol fires back: Thank you. Truthfully, I don’t get TV and I’ve never heard of Carol Alt.
Pete,
I used to wonder: what is a genius.
Now I know Pete. Your brilliant insights into death and the religion that tries to hide the fact that we are all dying have shown me that there ain’t no wannabe like an old wannabe.
Pete – your IP address: not well hid.
Your location – not given, but easily found by my calibrator.
Your real identity – dude, you are not even funny. Even if you were wildly John Waters/gross or Don Rickels insulting you would be funny. But you. Most people are not funny (see, Bill Murray Interview, NY Times magazine, c. 1987, on how he feels bad that he, Accrued, Chase and Belushi were all funny as hell and all ordinary looking. At the same time, tests were showing that women LOVED a man that could make them laugh. Murray explains: “[this made ordinary guys think that that could and should be funny. And the fact is, women are funnier than men, because they are 'in the moment and not so hung up on status. Men are generally unfunny].”
Enter your weak, weak site, dude. Below disgusting NOT funny. You know that creativity it takes to make up a great lie – as you “real profile”? That is difficult as hell. Your material is an insult to Jane Pauley, Sting, Peter Gabriel and every other manic depressive. Nothing but schizophrenic cut and pastes, and babbling free thinking where people (mostly you in different online id’s, you cyber-hero, you!) making comments that they believe not.
LOL. LOL. LOL. at your life? yeah, dude, not your posts. might I suggest you kinda, like, learn something about something before
you really get your face severely slapped? The people that you anger are the silent majority. Should I tell people who you REALLY are?

The Pistol fires back:
You seemed a little bothered by my blog. I’m sorry it doesn’t meet with your satisfaction. Thanks for dropping by, though.
I liked the answer Elle Macpherson may say for meaning of her life. Beautiful.
I used to think female models are not really smart women. They use their body to make money, instead of using their brain!
The Pistol fires back: In many ways, you are right. I don’t fault the models so much, however, as the men (and sometimes women) who choose to look at them, watch their movies, and buy the products they promote.
Maybe it’s my meds but I thought this was fabulous!
The quotes like those from Naomi and Carol are funny (and sad).
I loved the quotes from Elle and Cindy.
I have never had any issue with supermodels. I lump them in with actors and TV personalities; their jobs depend upon their looks so who can fault them for having “work” done or starving to stay thin. It’s not a healthy ideal but If I were a betting person I would say most of us would do the same in their shoes.
The Pistol fires back: Glad you enjoy it. You are probably right. I’ve done some pretty strange things for money in my day.
Just wanted to echo Ella’s thoughts on children, somewhat.
As much as I love my knuckleheads, I know that they are not my “savior”, however I do thank God that in spite of my selfish old self, it was through them that He opened my eyes and convicted my heart to seek His ways.
Grace and peace be with you.
The Pistol fires back: I really wish I would show my children how much I do appreciate them. I am very grateful to be married to someone who does and I’ll keep doing my best.
I thought this post was super cool! You are definitely creative.
I appreciate your sense of humor and at the same time, makes us think. :)
The Pistol fires back: Thank you. That means a lot coming from you.
